THE 2-GENERATORS FOR CERTAIN SIMPLE PERMUTATION GROUPS OF SMALL DEGREE

Abstract

The 2-generators of $A_7$, $A_8$, $A_9$, $M_{11}$, $M_{12}$ and $M_{22}$ are computed up to equivalence of their automorphism groups and the automorphism group of a free group of rank 2. The actions of the automorphism group of the free group on their defining subgroups are also computed.
