Abstract

We discuss Arens regularity of the projective tensor product of Banach algebras consisting of Schatten class operators. More precisely, exploiting Ülger’s biregularity criterion, we prove that for any Hilbert space , the Banach algebras Sp()γ Sq () and B(S2())γ S2() are not Arens regular for every pair 1p,q2; whereas, when is separable and S2() is equipped with the Schur product, we show that S2() is completely continuous and that S2()γ S2() is Arens regular.
