Abstract

The main results are: Firstly, for any two surjections, $\rm{f}$ and $\rm{g}$ , of a real interval there exist connected surjections $\alpha$ and $\beta$ such that a $\alpha ({\rm{f}}(x)) = {\rm{g}}(\beta ({\rm{x}}))$ for all ${\rm{x}}$ . Secondly, there exists a pair of connected functions whose composition is not connected, mod the continuum hypothesis.
