Abstract

Our aim is to provide two new integral representations of the Gauss hypergeometric function in the form of two double integrals by making use of Edwards's double integral. A particular case of our integral representation enables us to give another proof of a well known Gauss summation theorem. We also provide two further generalizations of the integral representations.
