Appendix C. Data for Simple Lie Algebras

Abstract

This appendix contains information about irreducible root systems, simple Lie algebras over $\mathbb C$ and $\mathbb R$, and Lie groups whose Lie algebras are simple, noncompact, and noncomplex. The first two sections deal with the root systems themselves and the corresponding complex simple Lie algebras. The last two sections deal with the simple real Lie algebras that are noncompact and noncomplex and with their corresponding Lie groups.
