Winter 2001 Uniform approximation of associative copulas by strict and non-strict copulas

Abstract

Some properties of and relationships between important classes of copulas are discussed. In particular, the class of associative copulas is shown to be compact, and the classes of strict and non-strict copulas are shown to be dense subsets of this class.
