Dynamics of normalized systems on surfaces

Abstract

We extend to normalized systems several properties of commuting systems proved in [M. Sabatini, Dynamics of commuting systems on two-dimensional manifolds, Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. CLXXIII (IV) (1997), 213–232]. A rough classification of the dynamics induced by normalized vector fields on two-dimensional compact connected oriented manifolds is given.
